As a charitable organisation, Charity Computers Australia is unique placed to put people first without sacrificing tangible benefits to the environment or the economy. We have broken our benefit into three areas people, the environment and the economy.

Charity Computers Australia plays a key role in the future of all three areas in both Australia and overseas.

People

Our view on the importance of people including a summary of the ways in which we help people.

The Environment

Charity Computers in helping people and skilling them in IT is also helping the environment. In fact it is how we got started over 5 years ago.

Charity Computers will take in old computers, any model, any age and guarantee that less than 5% of any donation received will see landfill.

Our recycling network ensures we get a good return on donated equipment as well as improving the quality of life of those in our immediate communities.

The Economy

The economy is a fragile world. With rising interest rates, soaring demand for natural resources and increasing consumer spending the economy is running along at a frenetic pace.

Whilst all economic cycles are just that, cycles, and there are ebbs and flows Charity Computers is positioning itself in the IT employment market.

Long term an IT skills shortage looms over the Australian and the world economy.

Charity Computers specialises in training people for a new career in IT. Our Certificate programs mean people can train in IT at any level from introductory courses through to courses that enable trainees to become builders and supervisors. In the IT world there is pretty much a job for anyone who wants one and has the aptitude to pull it off.
